Our story
Started in a bedroom, not a boardroom
The beginning
This brand didn't start with funding or a factory. It started in 2020, in the middle of a global shutdown, when a Black woman in the UK got tired of choosing between products that promised growth and products that didn't strip her hair to get there.
Everything on the shelf either worked and wrecked her scalp, or was gentle and did nothing. So she started mixing her own, testing formulas in her kitchen, researching ingredients used for generations but never taken seriously by the beauty industry.
How we got here
